Note: Significant increase in prescription from 2017-2018 prior to starting Ortho-K. The right eye increased 1.25 diopters and the left eye 1.50 diopters over the span of just 1 year.

Current prescription:
● Right eye: -3.25 -0.50 x 070
● Left eye: -2.75 -0.75 x 082

Total Prescription change while on Ortho-K:
0.50 diopters increase in the right eye and 0.25 diopters in the left eye over 3 years.

Parent Interview:
How did you hear about the Ortho-K program?
“Dr. Lo told me about this program and how it can help prevent my child’s prescription from getting worse, and they won’t have to wear glasses during the day.”

What hobbies and activities do your children enjoy?
“My boys love running! I would definitely recommend this program to a friend. It is really good if your kid likes sports. The best example I can think of is how it would be very helpful for kids who like swimming.”

How has your view on Ortho-K treatments and contact lenses for children changed since the first visit?
“I was really nervous at first, because the boys were so young, and I was worried about having them wear the lenses all night. But the kids were not worried at all. They like it, because they don’t need to wear glasses to school. I still help them clean, put in, and take out the lens. Now they see clearly in the morning, so I am really happy. We never had any problems with the ortho-k lenses and the boys tell me that the lenses are completely comfortable at night.”
