Meet the Optometrists

With more than 30 years of experience in vision care and more than 30,000 happy patients, Dr. Eileen Lo has been a California State Board licensed optometrist since graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry in 1986. She practices primary and advanced eye care at her practice, East Bay Vision Center Optometry, with three locations in the East Bay area, specifically Oakland, Fremont and Pleasanton. She is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), California Optometric Association (COA), American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control (AAOMC), International Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control (IAOMC), Scleral Lens Education Society, as well as Alameda Contra Costa Optometric Society (ACCOS).

Dr. Lo’s primary goal is to provide patients with the highest quality eye care. As a TPG. (Therapeutic Prescribing Agents plus glaucoma) Certified Optometrist, Dr. Lo can diagnose eye problems and provide treatment to a variety of eye diseases in addition to examining for glasses and contact lenses. She has special interest in treating glaucoma as well as dry eyes and irregular corneas. Dr. Lo also has extensive experience in co-management of laser vision correction, such as LASIK PRK, and working with patients with special needs.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control (FAAOMC), Dr. Lo has been fitting orthokeratology or CRT (aka Corneal Reshaping Therapy) lenses on patients since 1996. With 20+ years of experience, Dr. Lo has been successfully working with myopia control in children’s vision. Dr. Lo also has expertise in fitting contact lenses with astigmatism, presbyopia, and keratoconus. She can also fit hybrid lenses (Synergeyes Duette lenses) and Scleral GP lenses.

She has obtained certification in fitting Paragon CRT (Corneal refractive Therapy), Misight 1 day Brilliant Futures myopia control program, (VST)Vision Shaping therapy, and dual focus soft lenses. She also prescribes low dose Atropine drops and consults about environmental and behavior effects on eye health based on evidence base studies. 

In addition to her work at East Bay Vision Center Optometry, Dr. Eileen Lo is dedicated to community service. Every year, Dr. Lo conducts vision screenings in elementary schools and ocular health screenings in senior homes. She believes that volunteering her time and professional expertise as a primary eyecare physician is the best way to serve her community.

Dr. Camellia Lee  is a third generation optometrist with a passion for eye care. After completing her education at UC Berkeley School of Optometry and a residency in Cornea and Contact Lens at the New England College of Optometry, she is practicing at East Bay Vision Center. In addition to primary care, she also treats glaucoma and dry eyes. Dr. Lee has a special interest in fitting specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses, for different corneal diseases such as keratoconus, dry eyes, post- graft or post-refractive ectasias.

As a near sighted patient herself, Dr. Lee educates on and promotes myopia management and myopia control treatments such as ortho-keratology, specialty soft contact lenses, and atropine.  When not at the office, Dr. Lee enjoys cheering on the Golden State Warriors, traveling and hiking.

Dr. Matthew Lee was born and raised here in the Bay Area. He graduated from University of California, Irvine with a Biology Science degree before graduating with honors from Pacific University College of Optometry. During his time at Pacific, Dr. Lee completed ocular disease management rotations at Lebanon VA Medical Center, the Community Health Center in Nipomo, and a co-management site in Nevada.

He is certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease and glaucoma, as well as co-management of cataract and refractive surgery. Dr. Lee has also participated in numerous community outreach events and traveled to Eastern Oregon and Belize to provide eye care to underserved populations.

Through his comprehensive training, Dr. Lee focused on the fitting of specialty contact lenses, ocular disease management, dry eye management, and pediatric eye examinations. Dr. Lee is currently certified in prescribing CRT Orthokeratology lenses, Acuvue Abiliti Overnight Lenses, Wave Night Lenses, MiSight 1 Day lenses, Scleral lenses, and Nataralvue lenses.

His interests include sports and stand up comedy. He likes to stay active by playing volleyball, roller skating, and pickleball.
