1) How has Dr. Lo and the staff at East Bay Vision Center helped shape your experience with Ortho-K?
“Dr. Lo was very persistent- no matter how small the problem was with the contact lens, she would always schedule an appointment to discuss the issues. Dr. Lo has made my experience with ortho-k very nice.”
2) Personally, what benefits of Ortho-K are you happiest about?
“I have been told that if I didn’t do the Ortho-k lenses my eye sight would keep getting worse. And after 3 years of doing it, my eyesight has not gotten worse, so I think it is helping with my vision. This means my glasses won't be too heavy, and I can see underwater when I swim.”
3) Describe your journey with Ortho-K lenses. Were there challenges you had to overcome?
“I enrolled into the Ortho-K program, because my sister had bad eyesight and it was getting worse and worse every year- it was getting really bad. So they tried it on her and it helped, so I was started on it too. My mom has a high prescription as well.”
“Initially, there were a lot of follow ups due to comfort. Dr. Lo said it is not normal to feel uncomfortable when wearing the lens. Now, I forget about it after putting it on at night.”
